A Note From Our Founder
Along with launching on Android, we rebuilt the entire app to make room for new features. We’ve been iterating quickly (thanks for your feedback!), and most bugs should now be fixed. For the best experience, always make sure you have the latest version of Margins: go to Settings and tap "Check for updates." And if anything ever seems off, let us know at [email protected]. Anyway, I’m excited to share some highlights here, or open the app to check them out for yourself. Best, Paul
A New Stats Tab, a New Calendar Widget
The calendar was so popular we gave it its own tab, Stats. The new tab leaves room for more stats (coming soon!). We also created a calendar widget for your phone’s home screen. On iPhone, long-press the home screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget. On Android, long-press the home screen, tap Widgets, then find Margins.
Now in 14 Languages
You can now use Margins in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Italian, Indonesian, Turkish, Swedish, Malay, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, or Romanian. Pick your language in Settings, under Appearance.
You can also set a language for each book, and its title and description will switch if we have a translation...and as we add more translations, search starts working in whatever language you want; for example, search 엄마 and you'll find "Please Look After Mom," listed with its Korean title, 엄마를 부탁해.

Dressed Up for Fall
Our in-house illustrators created new sketches throughout the app for fall, like the Halloween recliner and the doodles atop your library lists. If you’re curious about the people behind these hand-made touches, @bunnireadshorror made a video about our artists.
Meet a Reader
Inspired by her bookworm mom, Laura is a 25-year-old French reader who gravitates toward literary fiction, contemporary fiction, and mysteries. She likes to read at home or in the park with ambient music playing, and she loves the smell of a book, ideally with coffee nearby. "Reading has always calmed my anxiety, letting me forget the real world, and lose myself in another," she says. "It has also opened my mind and helped me understand other people."
